April Lockhart

April Lockhart is a born on July 4 on the 4th of July, 1995. In the seventh grade, she started taking piano and guitar lessons. This ignited her passion for songwriting. April Lockhart composed her very first song, Different at age 12 years old. At the age of 14 April, she spent a lot of time writing songs and honed her singing abilities. She began writing with her father on the streets of NY and LA soon after. April started to include other subjects in Take My Hand for her friends who were dealing issues with bullying, disabilities or even suicidal thoughts. Lockhart works in partnerships at top clean-skin brand Ilia and is also a lifestyle blogger with an increasing following of her own. The disability she has is part of her persona, however it's not the complete of the picture. In the end, Lockhart's profile isn't afraid to talk about her disability, but she doesn't focus on the issue either. What message is it trying to convey? We all have multiple aspects and that we are all unique and that we are more than just our physical self. We don't want to allow that to define me I don't want to be an influencer with a disability who only talks about, because there are different aspects to me Lockhart speaks via video from her house in Nashville. My everyday life isn't affected by it. I lead a normal, everyday life and find the solutions I have for my problems. But, it's an integral part of me and I feel it's essential to discuss. Lockhart's journey to acceptance of herself will be one that lasts for a long time, and she is an inspiration with regard to this. Lockhart admits that she goes through phases when it comes to her body. She felt uneasy about clothes that showed off her arms. Nowadays, she dresses whatever she wants and posts photos in those outfits to the internet with a sense of pride. The journey itself is the most important thing that I'm not sure that you ever arrive in self-love. This is true for everyone, no matter what their state of being. People you spend time with who truly know you, and can see into your heart, are the ones who will remind you why it's important.
